Investing for success

2022 Overview

In 2022, approximately $280 million will be allocated to Queensland state schools as part of the Investing for Success (I4S) program.

Under this agreement for 2022 Logan Village State School will receive $187,330* 

This funding will be used to:

  • Increase student engagement processes in all year levels
  • Increase percentage of students achieving A-C in English in all year levels through cognitive engagement reform
  • Improve student attendance through emotional engagement reform 
  • Decrease student disciplinary absences through behavioural engagement reform 
  • Improve teacher capacity through focused coaching & professional development in priority area of reading & writing. 
  • Improve identification & support processes for students with learning difficulties/disabilities.
  • Improve parent capacity through information sessions & partnerships with parents and other education providers.
  • Increase parent engagement prior to Prep in the 0 - 5 age group.

Our initiatives include: 

  • Fund a Literacy Coach with the goal of all teachers to become expert teachers of reading and writing. 
  • Continue to provide additional engagement and support position to improve case management capacity, to increase support to identified students and to provide increased opportunity for instructional coaching to classroom teachers in providing appropriate adjustments for all students. 
  • Increase parent school partnerships through closer case management of identified students and liaising with parents and specialist staff. 
  • Fund an Early Years Advocate at the fraction of 0.2 to support 0 - 5 age group identified needs in the local community to support transition. 
  • Purchase additional teacher aide time to support implementation of above programs in classrooms and across the school. 
  • Provide additional planning time for teachers to ensure personalisation of learning through implementation of Collaborative Inquiry using a case management approach.
