Responsible Behaviour Plan and Personal Devices

At Logan Village State School we understand that productive learning and good citizenship go hand-in-hand. In order to create the right environment for our kids to have opportunities to succeed we acknowledge that different learning styles and abilities must be catered for, and appropriate behaviours need to be taught, modelled, encouraged and developed.
In 2018, our school has reviewed our Responsible Behaviour Plan in collaboration with our community. The 2018 edition of this document is now available on the front page of our website, outlining our purpose, behavioural expectations, and the process of managing ‘Positive Behaviour for Learning’ within our school.
One of the policies we address is the use of Personal Technology Devices at school. The policy appears on Pages 35 to 37 of the document, and clearly outlines how personal devices are managed during school hours. Personal Technology Devices are defined as, but not limited to, gaming devices, smart watches, laptops, PDAs, cameras and voice recording devices, mobile phones, and iPads (or devices of a similar nature). The policy discusses the use of these devices, as well as legislation regarding the recording and use of voice, images and text.
If you would like more information regarding this policy, please access the Responsible Behaviour Plan through the ‘Quicklinks’ menu on the home page of our website.
